Description:   Pit in the valley between the Areopagus and the Hill of the Nymphs. Large cutting in bedrock with 540 ostraka, mainly of the late eighties of the 5th. c. B. C. Much pottery, principally of the early 5th. c., but with some as late as the middle, at which time the fill was dumped.
Notes:   This deposit needs more work: check notebooks and data base to make sure all ostraka are recorded in both sources. (PF)
