Agora Image: 1997.07.0452 (XLII-38)Foundations of the south tower of the Stoa of Attalos (cf. Agora XXIV, pl. 5, Tower W5) with the lowest large blocks still in place. In Turkish times the Church of Panagia Pyrgiotissa was built into this tower. The church and the tower were demolished in 1859.
