Description:   a) Fragment with part of a columnar surface (side or top) with projecting rough-picked fascia (as if of semi-attached column) at side, and smooth finished front surface with two sharp cut grooves, forming concentric circles (?) with columnar surface. Clear traces of red in incised grooves; irregularly spaced cuttings, perhaps late pick-marks on front surface.
Possibly from bolster or volute of altar (?).
b) A non-joining fragment of same, with only the columnar surface preserved, found in same fill, sent to storage with bracketed number [Η' 905].
