Title:   Column Base Fragment: Ionic
Category:   Architecture Marble
Description:   There remains only a sliver from the lower outer edge of the base.
Identical in profile with A 1151 (ΟΔ 194) but heavily weathered; hence from an outside round freestanding column and to be associated with the capital in the National Museum (NM 1469).
Pentelic marble.
Context:   Brought in from S.W. corner of Odeion where presumably it was found; traces of hard mortar show that it had been incorporated in the foundation of the Gymnasium Complex.
