Title:   Parapet Fragment

Description:   A fragment from a left upper corner remains. The parapet was intended to be set between round freestanding columns and was thrust between them from inside the building. The curved joint surface fits closely the circumference of one of the freestanding columns of the Odeion (Diam. ca. 1.00m.). Alongside the column the parapet ends in an anta with neatly profiled capital and it is capped by an epistyle and cornice with dentils. The outer face is carved in a reticulated pattern and is heavily weathered.
Conceivably from between the free standing round columns in the south end of the Odeion.
Pentelic marble.
Context:   Removed from marble pile between north front of Odeion and Giants.
