Description:   Five fragments preserve part of original surface of egg and dart molding of Altar of Temple of Ares (?)
a) Corner piece preserving a little of the projecting fascia above the egg and dart, the height 0.10m. without the hawk's beak, which is not preserved; the projection ca. 0.08m.
b) Left joint surface.
c) Right joint surface.
d) and e) Broken at both ends.
Pentelic marble.

Context:   From marble piles, from excavations 1940 and earlier, 5.00m. to 10.00m. N.E. of easternmost Giant, i.e. some 10.00m. east of Altar foundations.
