Title:   Raking Sima Fragment

Description:   Bottom broken away at back. Flanged joints at ends. Bottom and top rough-picked. No visible trace of painted design. From archaic raking sima.
Another piece of same series, directly adjacent to this at north. A third piece, probably of same, visible in bit o late Roman wall above line of same drain ca. 13.00m. further north. Of this piece, flange is missing.
Island marble.
Same series probably as A 758, A 769 (from horizontal sima); also same as A 390, A 1835, A 2527, A 2993, A 3006.
Context:   Built into west wall of Odeion Drain ca. 4.00m. north of the Altar of Ares.
