Description:   a) Both ends broken jaggedly.
b) Very jagged break at one end, the other flat, possibly cut.
Spirally fluted, right hand twist.
The two fragments may be part of one tapering column; in any case it is likely that they belonged to the same architectural complex for material and cut are the same.
Dark gray micaceous stone in consistency between limestone and marble, with large lumps of carbonized material.
Context:   Marble pile.
