Description: | The plaster was laid on crude brick in two layers, the first containing coarse sand and brown in color, the second of white lime and marble dust, smooth polished. In a few fragments the finishing coat is Venetian red. The letters are in thin red paint with thick strokes; two can be measured (Τ and Υ) others were higher. No continuos text. Letter forms perhaps of fourth century. Conceivably from north wall of Heliaia. After conservation only three letters, Τ Ρ Α, can be in sequence (O.T., February 1990). | |
