Description:   Right hand end of block preserved, broken at left. One of several step blocks from the Square Peristyle Building reused for retaining wall in forecourt of the Royal Stoa. Set upright resting on its back face, most of top and bottom of block exposed. Much worn but preserves traces of tooth chiseling on top surface at right end, towards left raised werkzoll (? - very faint). Front face finished along right hand and bottom edge only; raised central portion (now very worn). Bottom surface finished only at right; further left surface remains raised and roughly worked.
Hard travertine-like limestone.
