Piece of wall and rim missing.

Narrow, flat resting surface; pointed underside. Six palmettes within rouletting. Thick, shiny black glaze.

A transitional form between deep echinus bowl and rouletted bowls. A similar deep bowl, also with rouletting, was found in Argos in what appears to be a 2nd-century context (Bommelaer and Grandjean 1972, C 26616, p. 189, figs. 51, 52); similar bowls, with rouletting and palmettes, appear earlier at Miletos (Pfrommer 1985, nos. 46, 47, p. 57, figs. 46 and 47 on p. 73, in a context ranging from late 3rd to mid-2nd century).
