All of one handle, most of the other, and parts of rim and body restored.

High, flaring foot; broad, beveled resting surface; pointed underside.

Groove at junction of foot and body. Projecting, overhanging rim.

Two slightly upturned, horizontal handles at belly; broad, vertical strap handle with two broad, shallow grooves, from shoulder to below rim. Decoration in brown glaze. Two narrow bands on top of rim, one broad and one narrow band inside rim. Tongues on vertical face of rim. Opposing olive garland on neck. Band at junction of neck and shoulder. Linked buds with dots at tips on shoulder; broad band flanked by narrow bands below. Wall divided into three registers by three lines below handle attachment, one line lower down. Upper register, A: black-figured birds flank earred tripod, with vertical herringbone panel to left and right. B: two olive swags with large bow at center, below handle, flanked by vertical herringbone panel at left and right. Middle register: frieze of dolphins leaping right. Lower register undecorated. Broad band at base of body. Three bands on foot. Two vertical bands on vertical handle. Hard, fine, reddish yellow fabric (7.5YR 7/6) with white inclusions and surface voids.
