Part of handle and over half of body restored.

Angular foot; beveled resting surface; nearly flat underside. High lower body. Curved shoulder with smooth transition to long, nearly cylindrical neck. Torus rim. Double-grooved strap handle with thumb impression at base. Decoration in red glaze: band on foot (starting slightly above bottom), base of neck, and rim; broad band with narrow one above and below at angle of body. Wreaths or swags on shoulder; bows perhaps hang from band around neck. Fairly hard, fine, very micaceous, light red fabric (2.5YR 6/8) with quartz(?) inclusions; pink slip (7.5YR 8/4) has not adhered well.

For shape cf. a lagynos in Istanbul (PF II, pp. 101, 105, fig. 6:1) and CVA, Brussels 3 [Belgium 3], pl. 2 [140]:18.
