Platter With Upturned Rim.

About one-fourth of rim and part of floor preserved.

Low ring foot; flat resting surface. Ridge outside foot, possibly originally part of foot. Horizontal floor. Thick, upturned rim, triangular in section. Rouletting within pairs of grooves on floor; large ionic column stamped at center. Soft, extremely micaceous fabric with some large pieces of mica, gray on surface (10YR 5/1), pale brown at core (10YR 6/3); dark gray glaze (2.5Y N3/).

From same context and of same fabric: P 6874 bis, P 6874 ter; same fabric as 1573 and 1575. Same shape in a later context: P 4300, P 32018, P 32019 (the latter two from middle fill of D 11:4).
