Cup Or Bowl: Pergamene Appliqué.

Center of floor, broken all around.

Slightly pointed underside; trace of foot. Appliqué is eight-legged creature (scorpion? lobster?). Front and back ends missing. Something extended in front of the creature: claws? Slightly micaceous, light reddish brown fabric (5YR 6/4), partly fired gray; shiny brown-to-red glaze (10R 4/3--4/6).

A shrimp appears as an emblem on two angular cups of Pergamene appliqué ware at Delos (Bruneau 1991, no. 57 [75, 76], pp. 633, 656--658).
