Unguentarium: Italian?

Nonjoining sections of neck and lower body preserved; one handle, much of body, and half of rim restored. Lower body missing.

Scraped groove below greatest diameter, at handle attachments, and on neck. Tall, thin neck. Rim outwardly thickened, sloping down to outside and slightly overhanging oninside. Two vertical handles attached at shoulder. Orange bead and reel on belly, above lowest scraped groove. Decoration in incision on upper body and neck. Upper body: row of hoops. Neck (below scraped groove): row of double hoops with vertical lines between them. Hard, fine, very pale brown fabric (10YR 8/3) with little mica and a few white inclusions; shiny to dull glaze, mottled from black to brown, much missing.
