Three non-joining fragments of slightly domed lid, b with downturned rim. Glazed on underside. Max. dim. a) 0.16, b) 0.068, c) 0.05; est. diam. of rim 0.28.
Fragment a (illustrated) shows a woman (most of head with broad fillet, body about to the knees) dressed in a peplos, standing frontally, head to left, and holding a chest in each hand. From each hangs a sash. At the lower left are the shoulder of another figure seated to left and part of the backrest of a klismos. At the right, Eros (most of wings and a bit of body and legs) flies to right, and at the right there is a fan. Fragment b preserves a little drapery and part of a stool with someone sitting on it. Fragment c shows the wings of another Eros (to left) and on the right, part of a figure (drapery) seated(?). On rim, egg pattern with dots.
