Fragment of slightly domed lid. Glazed on underside. Glaze pitted in many places. Max. dim. 0.119.

From center out: egg pattern with dots; women. At the left, the head, chest, and most of the arms of one to right, holding up a mirror in her left hand so that the other woman can see herself. The latter is preserved to the hips and sits in a three-quarter view to right, looking back. With her right hand she holds up a bit of drapery over her shoulder; in her left hand she holds a plemochoe and a long, narrow object (a box[?]). Each woman wears a chiton and himation; around the head of each is a fillet with spikes. A garland hangs on the wall between the two. Above the plemochoe is part of an object that is unintelligible (something hanging on the wall[?]). It could be a box or chest held by the next figure. At the far right is part of another figure (a little drapery). White: flesh; chitons; mirror; fillets; garland. Dilute glaze: drawing on white.

The presence of the plemochoe suggests that this is a nuptial lekanis. Cf. London, B.M. F 138 (ARV2 1498, 2).
