Three non-joining wall fragments, a with wall and cul, b with rim and part of one handle, c with a bit of the cul. Max. dim. a) 0.095, b) 0.09, c) 0.05.

On rim, tongue pattern above a row of dots. On the body, vertical panels: ivy or herringbone pattern on black; diagonal lines on reserve. Below the panels, laurel wreath with fruit to right. On cul, tongue pattern above a row of dots. Taken together, the fragments preserve part of all these patterns. Glaze to left of pattern on fragment a indicates the handle zone. White (partly flaked): herringbone; ivy; laurel wreaths. Dilute glaze (very faint): diagonal lines in reserved panels.

For complete examples, see Vienna 1124 (CVA, Vienna 1 [Österreich 1], pl. 46 [46]:4) and Munich 2571 (CVA, München 2 [Deutschland 6], pl. 94 [290]:6). 1235 is not from the same kantharos as 1236: the color of the glaze is different.
