Mended with missing pieces restored in plaster and painted, notably all of one handle, most of the other, sizeable chunks of bowl, all of the stem and foot plate. Reserved line on inside at rim. Rest. H. 0.085; diam. at rim 0.225; outer diam. of tondo 0.146.

I, komos. A youthful komast (part of legs, hands missing) dances to right, preceded by another (neck, upper part of body, feet), who walks to right. Each has a fillet around his head; a cloak over the raised left arm of left, over left shoulder of right. Reserved exergue. Around tondo, stopped-maeander pattern with cross-squares. A--B, komos. On one side: part of drapery, legs, hands of one komast; upper parts of the second with a fillet around his head, his right arm outstretched, a staff in his left hand and a cloak over his left shoulder; all of the third, except for head and feet, who plays the aulos. All three move to right, as well as the fourth, who looks back, a fillet around his head. He holds a staff in his right hand, a phiale in his outstretched left, and he has a cloak over his left forearm. On the other side: feet, raised hand, a little drapery of left komast; all of next except for part of his right leg, who plays the aulos, both to right. The latter has a cloak over his left shoulder. Then comes one who is frontal, head to right, a cloak over both outstretched arms. The last komast (left foot missing) dances to right, a cloak also over his left shoulder. Fillet around the head of each. At each handle encircled palmette-and-tendril configuration (part of each). Below the figures, three reserved lines. Preliminary sketch.

Near the Painter of London E 105, perhaps from his hand (ARV2 1294, 1).
