Three non-joining fragments of shoulder and wall, b and c with start of handle. Streaky glaze on inside. Max. dim. a) 0.135, b) 0.175, c) 0.086. Schleiffenbaum, Volutenkrater, p. 325, cat. no. V 208.

Fragment a (illustrated) preserves most of the head of a woman wearing a sakkos and her shoulders wrapped in a himation. She stands to right facing someone who holds a torch in his or her right hand (on the far right, a little drapery). At the lower break, flames, presumably from an altar. Fragment b shows an outspread wing of Nike, probably flying to left. In the upper right, part of the palmette at the handle root. Fragment c is without decoration. Dilute glaze: woman's hair; lines on torch; dots on wing cover. Red: flames.
