Komos. At the left, a nude youth comes in holding a torch in his right hand, an oinochoe in his left, and a box or basket hanging down his back, probably suspended from a shoulder strap. In front of him is another youth, a cloak over his left shoulder and right forearm, who plays the lyre. They are preceded by a bearded man clad in a himation who walks to right, head uplifted as he sings. His right arm is outstretched behind him, his hand gripping a crooked stick. Around the head of each is a wreath. Above the figures, egg pattern; below, stopped-maeander pattern with checkerboard-squares. Reserved line for side frames. Preliminary sketch. Relief contour (much flaked): profiles. Dilute glaze: muscles on hip of musician. White: band on wreaths of youths; flames of torch.
