Woman with aulos, dancing. Fragment a (illustrated) preserves a woman (forehead, left hand, lower drapery, and feet missing) dancing to right, her head thrown back, holding an aulos in her right hand. She wears a belted chiton, a bracelet on each forearm, and earrings and has a fillet around her head. Fragment b preserves the toes of her right foot and part of the pattern below, a maeander with checkerboard squares. Fragments c -- e are without decoration. Above the figures, a row of egg pattern with darts and above that, a narrow row of egg pattern with dots. The side frame is a column of elongated chevrons.

Manner of the Meidias Painter (ARV1 837, 29 bis); may be by the painter himself (ARV2 1323, 35; Addenda 363). Assigned by Green to the late side of the Class of Athens 15308 (BSA 66, 1971, p. 201, no. 7).
