Fragment of mouth, neck with beginning of handle, start of shoulder. Most of the rim restored in plaster and painted. Glaze chipped in places. P.H. 0.13; rest. diam. of mouth 0.15. J. R. Green, Hesperia 31, 1962, p. 84, fig. 1, pl. 31:14.

On the neck, Athena striding to left, her shield (device: star) on her left arm, a spear poised in her raised right hand. She wears a low-crested Attic helmet with straight cheekpieces, her aegis, and a long chiton with central panel decorated with lozenges. On the body (not illustrated), horse (forelock) to right, then Hermes (top of head, end of kerykeion) facing. Tongue pattern on the shoulder at the junction with the neck. Preliminary sketch. Relief contour. Dilute glaze: center of shield; locks of hair.
