Wall fragment. White-ground surface very yellow. Max. dim. 0.051.

Youth at tomb. On the right is the youth (part of face, all of outstretched right arm, most of torso) standing to left before a stele decorated with a fillet (ends). At the upper left, part of a box held out by someone, now missing except for a little bit of drapery at the far left. Matte drawing: light red for outlines. Red: fillet; drapery.

The composition may have looked something like Boston, M.F.A. 94.127 by the Thanatos Painter (ARV2 1230, 40) and Kassel T 379 in the manner of the Bird Painter, also recalling the Carlsberg Painter (ARV2 1234, 14; Addenda 352).
