Title:   Kalathos: Patterned
Description:   Mycenaean bell shaped bowl with two handles. Incomplete.
Double concentric bands in reddish brown black glaze, about the upper edge, the middle zone, and above the foot. The foot itself a solid glaze.
The wide horizontal rim of the bowl is decorated with a zig zag pattern, and a ladder pattern. The interior is glazed.
Buff clay.
ADDENDA 2018: Ten sherds mended into two non-joining fragments of a large kalathos with flat rim and two partially preserved horizontal handles.
The exterior decoration consists of a medium lip-band with a medium band running below it and two medium bands running below the handle zone. The handles are tri-splashed.
The interior is monochrome. The flat surface of the rim has a medium reserved band panelled with triglyphs and zigzag. The paint is thick and evenly applied, fired dark brown. There are no traces of use-wear or burning.
