Title:   Shallow Angular Bowl Fragment: Decorated
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Side, rim and handle attachment of small bowl with offset rim.
Red on buff. Wavy line on extension.
ADDENDA 2018: Four sherds mended into three non-joining fragments of a shallow angular bowl with flaring rim and the attachment for a horizontal strap handle.
The exterior decoration consists of a wavy band placed in the handle zone (which apparently continued over the handle).
The interior decoration consists of a medium lip band with a second medium band running below it. There is an additional medium band just below the carination.
While there are no clear signs or use-wear or burning, the interior is much poorer preserved than the exterior, perhaps indicative of use.
Furumark Shape: 295; Furumark Motif 1: 53
ADDENDA 2021 (AE): One fragment, mended from three pieces added from lot 487 (now AP 2826b), and one non-joining fragment from lot 481 (AP 2826c) added in 2018.
