Description: | Rope handle from an amphora. Black on pale buff. ADDENDA 2018: Two joining fragments to a vertical rope handle from a large amphora. The exterior decoration consists of a swath of paint running down the exterior of the handle from rim to base. The base of the handle is outlined with a medium band. The paint is thick, evenly applied, and fired black. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. Furumark Shape: 69 | |
