Title:   Skyphos Fragment: Geometric

Description:   Orange - black on buff.
ADDENDA 2018: Two sherds mended into a single fragment of a skyphos with short, slightly flaring rim and shallow bowl.
The exterior decoration consists of a row of dots with two narrow bands above and three below on the exterior of the rim and upper shoulder. In the handle zone the decoration is panelled with hatched meander, triglyph, and dot rosette.
The interior is monochrome with three reserved bands on the interior of the rim. The top band is slightly wider and has groups of bars (none complete).
The paint is thick, evenly applied, and fired glossy black. There are no traces of use-wear or burning.
