Description: | Fifteen sherds mended into two fragments and three (b to e=4?) non-joining fragments of a cup with conical body, a lipless, incurving rim, a horizontal, round-section handle, and a high ring base. The exterior decoration consist of a medium lip-band, two narrow bands running below the handle zone, a narrow band above the junction of the bowl and the base, and a medium band on the exterior of the ring base. The upper surface of the handle is painted with a single splash of paint. The interior is monochrome with a medium reserved band on the interior of the rim. The paint is thick and somewhat unevenly fired red to dark brown. There are no obvious traces of use-wear or burning. Furumark Shape: 242 | |
