Description:   Broken off at the bottom; the tip bent over.
A large acanthus leaf, from which spring spirals, forming an elaborate open-work palmette-shaped ornament.
Coarse incision for details. At the top, a bud-like tip; at the heart of the acanthus, an applied, spirally coiled snake.
The back plain, with traces of attachment at back.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Προστάτης λαβής σε σχήμα φύλλου ακάνθου, χάλκινου λύχνου.
Context:   Disturbed floor of room 25.
