Title:   Fibula Fragments
Category:   Bronze
Description:   Part of the bow of one fibula is clear, consisting of two rounded masses of bronze set at an angle to each other. Probably a third made up the bow.
One fragment seems to show the spiral spring at the inner end of the pin, and there are many fragments that could be from the blade of the pin.
The scheme may be tentatively restored.
In the same condition as pins, B 840-841.
Notes:   Fragments probably of two bronze fibulae (B 842-3) are preserved, in much the same condition as the pins, B 840-841.
Context:   Geometric Grave. Found with bones inside burial amphora P 19, 228 (OO 594).
Handling:   Nestled in ethafoam to prevent knocking about. Maintain RH equal or below 35%.
