Description: | Part of rim, shoulder, and one handle preserved, but nothing of lower body or base. Shoulder rounded directly into high, straight rim. Inside glazed as far as preserved except for a reserved band below lip with groups of short vertical strokes. Thin brown glaze outside, thick and black inside. Close to Brann 92; See Coldstream, G.G.P., p. 48 for the shape. The handle, like those of the Agora krater, is the simplest form of horned handle, with muzzle outlined and barred: cf. N. Oakshott, J. H. S. 86, 1966, pp. 114-132. | |
