| Description: | Fragments from small monument. Dedication "Cleopatra Monument". Fragment ΣΑ 17 a), from crowning member. The smooth finished top and bottom, and right side, with anathyrosis, preserved. Twenty-two letters remain. Fragment ΣΑ 17 b), from crowning member. The bottom surface only; smooth finished for only 0.06m. from face; behind, rough picked. The inscribed face shows a marked convex curve. At its top, a projecting moulding is broken away; below, dentils; then two fasciae carrying the inscription. Seven letters remain. Additional fragments, found later, most of them non-joining and uninscribed. Fragment ΣΑ 804 c), two dentils, and three to four letters remain on the upper fascia. Fragment ΣΑ 804 d), parts of two inscribed fasciae, with five letters on each. Fragment ΣΑ 804 e), uninscribed; two joining fragments; five dentils below. Fragment ΣΑ 804 f), uninscribed, parts of four dentils below. Fragment ΣΑ 804 g), upper moulding only; one at least of the uninscribed fragments from one of the other two sides of this triangular monument. Fragment ΣΑ 804 h), uninscribed; joins with ΣΑ 17 b behind. Fragment ΣΑ 804 i), uninscribed. Freagment ΣΑ 804 j), uninscribed; from left back as one faces monument. Fragment ΣΑ 804 k), with anathyrosis at right. Pentelic marble. ADDENDA Joins with I 4675; I 2177 belongs. | |
