Title:   Prytany Decree Fragment

Description:   Inscribed fragment of fragmentary stele.
Broken into several fragments; the face trimmed down to a depth of 0.02-0.025m., except for a band at the left edge.
This band eaten by cesspool acids along left edge on upper fragment only, (fragment a).
Sides toothed; back roughly picked.
Hymettian marble.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Found against wall of Room 3 of the Civic Offices. Re-used as threshold of door of Room 3 in front of west end of Middle Stoa (house f). Smashed by diggers of a Turkish cesspool; lower part left in situ, middle part dispersed, upper part found built nto wall of cesspool.
