Description:   Fragmentary inscribed base.
Four inscribed fragments, and several uninscribed.
Three fragments are preserved to full height; the top smooth, the bottom toothed. No trace of cutting preserved in top.
The original inscription removed by the dressing down of the surface; no trace remains.
Base set up by the Counsil of the Areopagus in honor of Theodoros son of Eisidoros. Possibly Theodoros of Gadara, the instructor of the emperor Tiberius is meant.
Three lines of the inscription preserved.
Eleusinian limestone.
Context:   Found built into long late Roman wall, over the Civic Offices.
