Description:   Inscribed stele.
A complete stele with flat top. Sides roughly dressed except at front edge. Back roughly worked and very irregular. The inscribed surface has been carefully re-dressed with a toothed chisel and this process has removed almost all the letters.
"POLETAI" record; Laurion mines.
At the bottom near the middle one can still read quite clear a small part of the text. A few letters can be made out here and there in other places including some figures.
Pentelic marble.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Re-used as cover slab over tiled well in foundation trench of the Square Building, just north of the Donor's Monument, in front of the Stoa of Attalos.
