Description:   Inscribed stele.
Complete stele, mended from two joining pieces.
Right edge of front stained and water worn; right side heavily water worn.
Top carved to receive painted floral ornament (?); beneath it, a fascia and ovals on front and sides.
Left side worked with claw chisel; back left rough; bottom cut off rough without tenon. On front, inscribed text of law concerning 8% tax in kind on grain from islands.
Archon Sokratides.
Sixty-one lines of the inscription preserved; stoichedon.
Letter spacing: 0.014m.; line spacing: 0.014m.
Pentelic marble.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Found built into east wall of the Great Drain. Laid as highest course of wall just beneath corner slabs.
