Description: | The center of the discus and a small bit of the rim are preserved. Pan is represented with goat legs and tail and with curly hair and beard. While his legs face right his torso is so turned as almost to face toward the front, and his head is turned back over his shoulder. He is playing the syrinx he holds in his right hand; in his left is an object resembling a snake. The rim is panelled. Red slip. Red clay. Type XXVIII of Corinth collection. | |
