Description: | Nude standing youth, complete except for head, left arm, and left leg below knee. Projection at inside of right heel broken away. The figure, elaborately modelled, stands on his right foot, with right hip thrown out and left leg bent. The hands and feet are larger and more coarsely modelled than the rest of the body. The right hand rests on the edge of a lamp, which is attached to the figure at the groin. Front part of lamp broken away; discus plain so far as preserved; rim, polygonal (?), grooved at the back. Red wash all over. Light red clay. Type ca. XXIV-XXV of Corinth collection. ADDENDA Cf. T 1452 (X 625). | |
