Description: | Upper part only preserved. On the top of a heavy slightly hollow stem rests a shallow oil bowl, its front pinched together to form an open nozzle. At its back is attached a vertical loop handle, fastened below to the stem. On the stem, between the bowl and lower end of the handle, is a raised ring. The clay is red, and coarse and unglazed save on the inner surface of the bowl which carries a heavy dark glaze overlaid with powedery white paint. Type XXXVI of Corinth collection. | |
