Description:   Mended from several pieces; complete save for small piece of discus, rim and top, at left.
Wreath on rim, with plain panels. On the discus, bust of Athena, left. She wears a crested Corinthian helmet and aegis. Pierced handle, triple grooved above, double below, with leaf at lower attachment. Low ring foot.
Thin fabric of pale pinkish clay with buff surface.
Type XXVII of Corinth collection.
ADDENDA J.P. 1956: Called 2nd. century fill, but contains only a coin of 4th. century B.C., and a lamp of 3rd. century A.D.
Context:   Drain A 1; early Roman fill at entrance to Drain A.
