Description: | Two joining fragments preserve nozzle and part of discus; one non-joining fragment of wall and base. Fragmentary. Discus wide and concave. Rim, narrow, marked with short raised rays; small lug projecting at either side. Long nozzle with rounded end. On base-fragment, trace of signature "H" or "P" (?). Dull dark reddish glaze, much worn. Reddish clay with bits. An early Roman adaptation of type XVIII (long nozzle) to types XXII and XXIV(?). | |
