ΤΙΤΛΟΣ:   Αμυγδαλόσχημος λύχνος 8ος αι. μ.Χ.

Description:   Almost complete. Some of top and most of nozzle missing, also top of handle.
Roughly boat-shaped with knob handle and large flat almond-shaped bottom.
Unglazed and undecorated. Charred at nozzle, handle and one side.
Rude workmanship; apparently handmade.
Heavy fabric; coarse pinkish-buff clay.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Υστερορωμαϊκός χειροποίητος λύχνος. Λείπουν θραύσματα από το σώμα και το μυκτήρα του ευρήματος (7ος - 8ος αιώνας μ.Χ).
Context:   Found in corner formed by wall of South House, room 12, and scarp supporting northernmost foundation of Turkish gate. Perhaps to be identified with destruction fill (?).
