Description:   Vertical band handle and the left side of the body are broken away.
Watch-shaped body, flattened on top, with radiating ribs covering the upper part, from a small raised ring round the filling hole.
On the right side a very small, solid, volute-like knob.
Long, plain, pointed nozzle.
Irregular ring foot.
Thin blackish-brown glaze, all over.
Attic clay.
Type XVIII of Corinth collection, type 48A of Agora collection.
ADDENDA Lamps L 551 to L 559 found together. A number of fragmentary lamps from the same pithos have been boxed separately, along with the finer sherds. See also pottery 589-630.
