Description:   Nozzle broken away.
On rim, ovule pattern, panelled.
On discus, on top part, bearded figure in tunic, boots and small cap, facing right, holding shield before him. Filling hole on center right, between figure and shield; air slit near front edge. In the field around the figure, to the left, a corselet; to the right, a crested helmet and a pair of greaves.
Nozzle, together with part of the right side of the rim, and nearly all of the body. At the left, a bit of the side preserves the complete height of the lamp.
Handle pierced; double.
Pale yellow clay. Corinthian.
Type XXVII of Corinth collection.
ADDENDA Fragment of bottom found during mending; within single incised groove an incised signature: "ΡO[Υ]ΦΕΙΝΟΥ". Restored in plaster.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Κορινθιακός λύχνος, τύπου XXVII, με ανάγλυφη παράσταση πολεμιστού και όπλων. Λείπουν θραύσματα από το σώμα του ευρήματος (2ος αιώνας μ.Χ).
