Description:   Fragment of rim and discus.
About one third of the discus and a fraction of the rim are preserved.
The rim seems to have been plain except for a band of red applied over the white paint covering the exterior of the lamp. It is set off from the discus by two raised lines. The discus has a pattern of radiating leaves in relief, with the veins indicated; between the tips of two of the leaves are two raised dots. Central filling hole.
The clay is coarse and orange-red.
Type XXVIII (?) of Corinth collection.

Context:   From deposit of ashes, with late Roman pottery.
