Description:   Small fragment of side missing.
Convex sides.
On rim, wreath of leaves.
On discus, whirling rosette (filling hole with raised edge).
Solid handle, with herringbone above and triple groove below.
The raised edge about the discus includes the wick hole.
On reverse, within a double bounding circle, a palm branch.
Red glaze
Dark red clay.
Type XXVIII of Corinth collection.
Context:   Burnt layer, ca 0.60m. above bedding for south foundation of "Royal Stoa". The lamps L 955-L 965 were found lying close together in the loose earth. Other lamps from the same deposit were found in 1931 in section A (cf. notebook of section A, p. 125).
