Title:   Lagynos Fragments

Description:   a) Long straight neck, with rounded lip, and part of the shoulder preserved at one point to its edge. Bands of black glaze around lip and base of neck; on shoulder, hanging from the band, bows and wreaths; below, grill motif and krater; then two narrow bands, and a broad band at angle of shoulder and body. Decoration in black to light brown glaze on a firm white slip.
b) Wall fragment from a lagynos of identical fabric and decoration, but apparently from another (a round-bodied) jug. Part of a wreath, with a loop, and one grill pattern, preserved.
