Title:   Black Figure Skyphos

Description:   Mended from many fragments. About one-quarter of the rim, one handle, and pieces from wall and base missing; restored in plaster. Outcurving lip. On each side in reserved handle band, Dionysus seated left with drinking horn. He leans back, left elbow bent behind him; a bit of drapery hangs from his left forearm to the ground.
Red for his fillet, beard and for stripes round his cloak; incision for interior details. Palmettes beside the handles. A reserved line round the top of the lip, and a band below the figured zone; the inside of the handle reserved and the foot and bottom, save for the inside of the ring.
